And speaking of engagement, in July, my Inbox was full of highly gripping emails. This may be the result of email marketers starting to get prepared for the upcoming Apple Mail Protection Policy. Since starting somewhere from September opens will no longer be the engagement indicator for emails opened in the Apple Mail app, you can already notice the change in the email marketing strategies.

Instead of regular Buy/Shop Now calls to action, now emails offer to share with friends, send gift cards, follow on social accounts, check the fave Insta influencer, etc. That’s a good shift for both marketers and readers. The first will be able to use the click rate as a new engagement metric and use it for multiple marketing purposes; the second will be receiving more diverse content.
